De Bruyne: We were horrified before the uprising in front of Villa

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne admitted that Manchester City faced terror twice against Aston Villa before winning the English Premier League title for the fourth time in five years with a 3-2 victory after a revolt on Sunday.

And it seemed that Liverpool would grab the title on the last day when City fell 2-0 before Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri scored to equalize and then Gundogan snatched the victory in an amazing awakening within five minutes.

"Maybe we had a couple of scares, but that's normal in this situation," said De Bruyne, winner of the Premier League Player of the Year award on Saturday.

"We tried to keep as calm as possible, but sometimes we panicked," he added.

"When we reduced the difference to 2-1, the whole situation changed for me. The stadium, the atmosphere, the players changed and we never looked back."
