Mjällby has surprised during the Allsvenskan spring, and has been at the top of the table for more or less the entire season.

For Gif Sundsvall, it has been considerably heavier, and the series' only Norrland team had only won a single match before tonight's home match against Mjällby.

Second Allsvenskan match for Jonsson

The team's biggest problem has been the defensive, as the team conceded the most goals of all teams in the series.

Tonight, the team chose to give 25-year-old Oscar Jonsson the chance in the goal, his only second Allsvenskan match in his career - almost six years after his debut in Djurgården 2016.

"Incredibly nice!"

He got a lot to do, and did really well.

He kept zero, after some sweaty saves.

- It feels incredibly nice!

I've been waiting for this moment for quite some time, and it feels like I took it, he tells Discovery +.

"Felt great!"

His saves made it three points for Sundsvall, as the team scored two goals going forward.

- It felt great!

It was stable all the time, he says.

The victory means that Sundsvall leaves the jumbo place, and is now in the qualifiers.

"For simple goals"

It was not as cheerful in the Mjällby camp.

- It is too simple goals we let in, far too simple goals.

It's generally just too bad, says Jesper Gustavssonb.
