Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola and Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp varied, after City's exciting crowning of the English Premier League title, following a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, after an amazing uprising when the champion was two goals behind at home, in round 38. And the last of the Premier League.

City finished the season with 93 points to retain the league title, followed by Liverpool in second place with 92 points, after their 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton.

"The moment we scored the goal, everything changed," Guardiola said. "We were not playing in normal conditions, but it has to be dealt with."

"Gendogan is our best player who goes from the middle to the front. We were coming from both sides and we needed a player with a fast pace in the penalty area and he is the best at that."

The Spanish coach continued, "We are legends. When you win the league title 4 times in 5 seasons, it is because we have an exceptional team of players. They will remember us."

beep:

"Wait for me next season because I will be able to make five substitutions in the match. You will see how genius I am."

Liverpool won the League Cup and the FA Cup, and will play the Champions League final against Real Madrid next Saturday, hoping to replace the Premier League title.

Guardiola explained, "The size of your achievement is determined by the size of your opponent. I have not found a team like Liverpool. I know how difficult it is, but a big congratulations to the opponent, he helped us become a better team."

"If Liverpool weren't there, the Premier League wouldn't be so attractive," said Manchester City star Gundogan. "They had an amazing season, which made us give our all. It's a sad day for them but we need to appreciate what they've done."

Tonight's groom, Gandogan, was keen to mention Liverpool in his meeting with him after achieving the league:

"If Liverpool weren't there, the Premier League wouldn't be that attractive."

"They've had an amazing season, pushing us to our limits. It's a sad day for them but we need to appreciate what they've done."

Klopp: Second place is the story of my life

As for Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool coach, he said that being second is "the story of my life... you need to get more points than any other team, but we did not do that."

"You couldn't do more than do your best, and that's what the players did again. We competed against the best team in the world with all our might, which is exceptional. We will build a team again and try again."

Liverpool's dreams of winning four titles this season have evaporated after previously winning the League Cup and the FA Cup.

"The players gave everything, so you can't think too much about it. We gave almost everything this season until the last round," Jordan Henderson, captain of Liverpool, who won the league title in 2020, told Sky Sports.

"We are a little disappointed today. We must congratulate City for sure, and then start focusing on next week's match."
