The midfielder veteran is playing his twelfth season for Piteå.

- I am a Piteåbo now, states Faith Ikidi Michael.

Her career has been long and successful.

She has two Swedish Championship golds on the merit list, one with Piteå and one with Linköping.

She has played in the World Cup and Olympics with Nigeria and won the African Championships several times.

She is the player in Piteå who played the most seasons for the club.

With Piteå, she has fulfilled her dreams.

- When I came to Piteå it was very challenging for me, I came from Linköping where I played with players like Caroline Seger and Kosovar Asllani.

I dreamed of winning gold and playing the Champions League with Piteå and I got to experience that, she says.

"Clear plan"

Last season was tough for the club, which finished second to last in the damallsvenskan and was saved thanks to only one team leaving the series.

This year it has looked much better.

- We have had a clear plan and sufficiently skilled players to keep it.

I have to say that it is a lot thanks to our coaches, says Faith Ikidi Michael.

There are many indications that she is playing her last season before she puts her shoes on the shelf.

- I take it day by day.

I do not know what the future looks like but it is bright and it probably does not contain football.

Only God knows, she says.
