Three years after the disappointment of "its" World Cup, the French women's team sets out to conquer again.

This time, it will be necessary to cross the Channel to get the Euro, a competition where the Blues have stopped in the quarters during the last three editions.

But Corinne Deacon's players have the wind at their back with their series of twelve straight wins, and the coach wants to be ambitious.

Les Bleues will play for the win, and nothing else.

"It's a common goal, which we naturally set ourselves," explains the former coach of Clermont to AFP.

Today, we have all our experienced players available, it's one of their last major competitions.

There is no more time to lose.

With the staff, we managed to create this mix between the old and the young, the serious and the less serious, the ambient and the others… There is a group phenomenon which will have its importance on the competition and the preparation.

“There are a lot more exchanges, we know each other much better too”, continues the technician, under contract until the Euro this summer, and whose management had been the subject of criticism after the 2019 World Cup. The operation is accepted by everyone.

There is an established framework but that does not prevent us, from time to time, from traveling within it, sometimes from leaving it in order to be able to return to it better.

There is a little more flexibility, certainly, but also a lot more trust between us.

From there, we go with our eyes closed.
