Lyon won five straight titles before Barcelona stopped the suite last year and became Champions League champions for the first time.
In Barcelona is the Swedish national team star Fridolina Rolfö who came to the club from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021. Among many stars in Lyon we find the Norwegian striker Ada Hegerberg, who has scored the most goals in Champions League history.
The Swedish goalkeeper Emma Holmgren, 25, who is the club's second goalkeeper, also plays in Lyon.
Lyon reached the final after beating French rival PSG, while Barcelona beat Wolfsburg in the semi-final.
In the home meeting at the Camp Nou, Barcelona broke the audience record for women's football: 91648 spectators.
