Three weeks ago, embankments from the Swedish cross-country and biathlon national team had to test the machine that will be used in the future to ensure that the fluoride ban is followed.

Conclusion: They were not impressed.

Johan Wåhlström, development manager for the wall team in the biathlon national team, says that they used banned fluoride wall.

- The idea was to try to fool the system and see the shortcomings in the equipment, says Wåhlström to TT, and believes that it was "quite easy" to cheat.

- If we do not do the right thing now, this can be an even bigger problem than doping.

Blomquist: "Is deplorable"

The information that the test device is not safe is not something that surprises SVT experts Björn Ferry and Anders Blomquist.

- I think it is deplorable that decisions are made at the international federation level that strike at fair competitions.

The countries that follow the regulations will be allowed to start in almost all competitions with inferior skis and in some bow with skis that can not be competed with, says Blomquist.

- If it is possible, which it seems to be so yes, of course some will cheat, says Ferry.

Is annoyed

The international federations, IBU and Fis, on the other hand, are confident that the test method will work and that the winter competitions will be safe.

But Blomquist does not buy it.

- I get incredibly annoyed when I hear representatives of these unions pretend that they have a device that works when you see in tests that it is not so, they must be much more responsive and understand that we can not do this if it happens unfair competitions, says Anders Blomquist.
