Paris Saint-Germain and French women's team striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto was voted best player of the season for the first time on Sunday May 15 at the UNFP (National Union of Professional Footballers) Trophies. 

Aged 23, the top scorer in Division 1 (18 goals) succeeds her teammate Kadidiatou Diani.

Katoto was not on the TV set of the Pavillon Gabriel which hosted the 30th edition of the UNFP Trophies this Sunday, to receive her prize because she was playing and won the final of the Coupe de France in Dijon, against Yzeure (8-0) , where she scored a hat-trick.

Favorite of Euro-2022

The PSG striker was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League by Lyon (3-2/2-1) and is left behind by Lyon in the race for the title of champion.

With the France team (28 caps, 24 goals), she is one of the favorites for Euro-2022 in England.

Trained at PSG, Katoto was French champion in 2021 and won two French Cups (2018 and 2022).
