Manchester City, the leaders of the English Premier League, gave rivals Liverpool hope of winning the Premier League title, after overturning their two-goal deficit against West Ham to a hard-fought 2-2 draw on Sunday in the 37th and penultimate round of the competition.

Manchester City raised its score to 90 points at the top of the standings, four points ahead of Liverpool, who played a game less and will face Southampton on Tuesday, and can reduce the difference to only one point, while West Ham raised its score to 56 points in seventh place.

West Ham ended the first half with two clean goals, scored by Jarrod Bowen in the 24th and last minutes of the first half.

In the second half, Jack Grealish scored Manchester City's first goal in the 49th minute, and West Ham's Vladimir Koval added Manchester City's second goal by an own goal in the 69th minute.

Riyad Mahrez missed a penalty kick for Manchester City in the 86th minute.
