Alexander Isak netted in Real Sociedad's turn against Villarreal

Last season, Alexander Isak made his big international breakthrough, with 17 goals for his Real Sociedad.

But this year it has gone much worse.

Before tonight's away match against Villarreal, he was listed for only five goals in 31 league matches, of which only one since the turn of the year.

But tonight, after six goalless matches, he had to rejoice.

Eleven minutes into the second half, he rushed to the far post, bumping into Andoni Gorosabel's pass from the other side of the box into the open goal.

Barely 20 minutes later, Sociedad's turn was completed.

And even now Isaac was involved.

He recorded from the right edge, whereupon the ball bounced up in the air before Martin Zubimendi could put 2-1.
