The Asian Football Confederation announced on the 14th that China has abandoned the Asian Cup of soccer scheduled for next year due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

The Asian Cup of Soccer, which is held every four years, was scheduled to be held in 10 cities in China from June 16th to July 16th next year with 24 teams participating.



On the 14th, the Asian Football Confederation announced that China had abandoned the event due to the spread of the new corona infection.



The Asian Football Confederation will announce alternative venues in the future.



China has declined to hold the East Asian Soccer Championship scheduled for July due to the influence of the new Corona, and it has been decided that it will be held in Japan instead.
