Competes with Rangers goalkeeper

They are the only Swedes to have been awarded the Vezina Trophy, the prize that goes to the NHL's best goalkeeper.

But this summer, Calgary's Jacob Markström can be rewarded with the prestigious trophy.

He is one of three players nominated, the NHL announced today.

The others are Nashville's Juuse Saros and Igor Sjestiorkin, New York Rangers.

Markström has had a good season with his Calgary.

With his nine-point zeros, he was the best of all goalkeepers during the NHL's regular season.

Whoever wins the prize will be announced either during the semi-final game or the final game of the Stanley Cup.
