Star striker Erling Haaland (21) is leaving Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and moving to English champions Manchester City in the summer.

Both clubs announced on Tuesday a basic agreement on the transfer of the Norwegian super talent, according to BVB the “contractual details still have to be agreed and documented”.

BVB collects a release clause of 75 million euros, the overall package for ManCity with a long-term contract, earnest money and payments to consultants is several hundred million euros.

Haaland switched from Red Bull Salzburg to BVB in January 2020, where he immediately became one of the biggest attractions in the league.

In his first season in Dortmund, he scored 41 goals in 41 competitive games and was the top scorer in the Champions League.

He had signed for BVB for four and a half years until 2024.
