Last year, 19-year-old Maja Åskag won double gold in length and triple jump at the junior WC and junior EC.

In three steps, her personal record is 14.05, which she jumped at the JEM in Tallinn.

Now she will try to go even further.

- Maja needs stability in what she does, establish herself at the lengths in the jumps around fourteen meters.

She is happy to muck a little with Carro (Klüft) and her three-step record, says Maja Åskag's coach Robert Söderlind Odin to SVT Sport during the athletics national team's training camp in Montenegro.

"She is welcome to take"

Carolina Klüft will in future be a new support for Maja, as the promise is part of the athletics Olympic offensive led by Carolina and Patrik Klüft.

And now Carolina will help Maja get her three-step record beaten, because Maja needs to jump 25 centimeters further than she did before to take it over from Klüft.

- She is welcome to take it, records are on loan.

It is not something you own, without them you have to have it for a while, then someone else takes over.

It is exactly as it should be, she is happy to break that record, says Carolina Klüft to SVT Sport.

Klüft jumped 14.29 in Växjö in June 2008.
