The Fencing Women's Saber World Cup was held in Tunisia, and Misaki Emura, a 23-year-old Tokyo Olympic representative, won the championship for the first time in this event as a Japanese team.

The women's saber World Cup individual match was held in Tunisia on the 7th.

Last year's Tokyo Olympics representative, Emura, who ranked 14th in the world ranking, advanced to the final by winning a 15-12 confrontation between Japanese players with Kanae Kobayashi in the semi-finals.

In the final, she played against a Greek player who ranked 9th in the world and won 15-13.

According to the Federation of Japan Fencing, it is the first time for a Japanese player to win this event in the World Cup.

Through the association, Emura commented, "There is no opponent who can't win, I thought the goal was to win. I'm happy to reach the gold medal I've been aiming for, but I still don't feel it."

Kobayashi, who lost to Emura in the semi-finals, was third.
