Maja Stark and Jessica Karlsson made three bogeys each in the second round of the European Tour competition in Madrid, the two Swedes dropped with it from a split lead to a split seventeenth place.
Instead, Linn Grant became the best Swede after the second round.
With the best round in the field, the 22-year-old sailed up to second place, a stroke behind the leading Finnish Tiia Koivisto who did better than Grant yesterday.
Eight birdies resulted in 65 strokes in the second round for Grant who before the third has a total of 135 strokes.
