An intense summer awaits Sarah Sjöström.

First the World Cup to be decided on 18-25 June in Budapest, Hungary, and six weeks later the European Championships in Italian Rome to be decided between 11 and 17 August.

But the Swedish star is ready.

- It feels good.

I have had a good training season, not so many competitions in the spring but the autumn and winter were very competition intensive.

So it has been calmer with competitions now but instead I have run extremely hard in the pool and at the gym.

It will be nice to start to get in shape a bit, says Sarah Sjöström to SVT Sport.

What details have you worked on before this summer's championship?

- I work all the time at the start, I need to improve it and it is a detail that I will never stop working with.

Sjöström has chosen to remove 100 meters of butterfly at the WC, but will swim 50 meters of butterfly and 50 and 100 meters freestyle.

And she has already cleared her goal.

- At the World Cup, I will, as usual, have a very intensive schedule.

The goal is to be there and fight for medals and make by far the season's best for myself, and maybe even approach some world records.
