The Asian Games are held once every four years, and the 19th Games were scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10th to 25th.



However, due to the spread of the new corona infection in China, the OCA decided to postpone it at a board meeting held in Uzbekistan on the 6th.



The new dates for the Games will be decided in consultation by the OCA and the Games Organizing Committee.



The Asian Games have been held 18 times so far, and at the last 2018 Jakarta Games, more than 11,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions participated in 40 competitions, more than the Olympic Games.



From Japan, Yui Ohashi and Rikako Ikee, who are swimming races, have been selected as representatives.
