They are pissed off and let it be known.

Less than a week before a major trip to neighboring Nantes, the main supporters club of Stade Rennais has announced that it will not be going to Beaujoire.

In a press release posted on its social networks, the Roazhon Celtic Kop denounces “the lack of good will of the local authorities”, to justify its decision.

While their team will undoubtedly play for their place on the podium, the Rennes ultras will not go to Nantes on Wednesday May 11 for the 36th day.

Too afraid to see the neighbor and enemy brandishing the Coupe de France?

Not even.

To justify this choice made "with great regret", the RCK criticizes the gauge "limited to 300 places" in the visitor parking lot.

Works to justify this limited gauge

This move is however the most popular with supporters because it is a real derby.

But also because the two cities are only 100 km apart.

“There was no question for us of choosing among our members who would have the right to have a place and who would not”.

According to the RCK, which lost one of its members ten days ago, the limited gauge would be linked to work in progress in the Beaujoire visitor park.

The site is obviously not finished, the gauge will therefore remain constrained.

“As if by chance”, quips the RCK, to whom we had promised that the work would be finished.

The supporters club also tackles the delay of the prefecture, which called a meeting eight days before the match.

While the preparation time for a match considered "at risk" is more often three weeks, ensures the association of ultras.

This meeting will also take place without the Loire stand, which will remain closed until the end of the season after the decision to sanction the Loire Brigade for the use of smoke bombs and pyrotechnic devices during the semi-final of the Coupe de France against Monaco.
