The event is hosted by the Winter Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, Xinjiang Winter Sports Management Center, and the Altay Regional Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau.
Due to the abundant natural snowfall, long effective snow period, no wind and suitable temperature in the Keketuohai area, the ski season in this area can last as long as half a year.
