SHL's situation room, the referee management and a reference group consisting of four people are the group that reviews events on the ice after matches.

In some cases, the current judges on the ice are also involved.

The group reports, but does not judge.

Judges are made by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's disciplinary committee.

One star player was suspended - another was released

There have been a couple of controversial situations now during the playoffs.

Luleå's Pontus Andreasson was suspended for two matches during the semi-final game after a head tackle on Frölunda's star Ryan Lasch.

Another controversial event has been Gustav Rydahl's tackle on Brendan Shinnimin.

A situation that was examined.

- All five-minute suspensions are checked automatically.

The group has come to the conclusion that it should not be reported.

They may have thought that five minutes on the ice was enough, says Hemlin.

The law will be announced the same evening

SHL notifies the respective laws if the group intends to review any situation.

The next day, SHL publishes the registration on its website.

That there would be extra much to do or extra pressure just because it is final, does not exist, says Hemlin.

- No, that's probably not the case.

It can be quite messy on a Thursday night with seven matches during the regular season.

Then historically, there is most to do around the quarterfinals, says Hemlin.
