Due to too much work for too little compensation, the national ski team's doctor Jan Wall chose to leave the assignment after only one season.

- It is unfortunately the case that the medical job is very stressful in just elite sports.

We are now reviewing whether we can make it more limited and clear.

Because that job can swell extremely much, says national team manager Anders Byström to SVT Sport.

Wall is the third doctor in a short time to leave the national ski team.

For the past two years, Per "Pliggen" Andersson and Magnus Oscarsson have already left.

- Oscarsson was before my time.

But there have been too many changes so the desire now is that we should find a long-term solution that is at least four years, until the Olympics, and that we steer the mission more so it does not swell so extremely much.

We have already had a fairly long process around this since last winter.

I am hopeful that that will be good now, says Byström.

The national team manager points out that long-term perspective is seen as a key factor within his organization.

- What we have been working on overall since I came in is that we should have continuity in all positions and think long-term.

It should not change a lot.

We have just got three out of four coaches to stay for the Olympics and that is very good.

The dikes have also signed for new agreements so it feels safe and nice.

It is not good when it is changed, you get to start all over again.
