O´Sullivan equaled Stephen Hendry's record of seven world titles when he defeated Jedd Trump 18-13 in the final in Sheffield.
O'Sullivan won his first title in 2001.
"I tried to be as relaxed as possible, but that's probably the best result I've had against a player of Judd's caliber," O'Sullivan told the BBC.
