In the second leg of the quarterfinals against HBC Nantes from France, the handball Bundesliga club secured progress with a 30:28 (16:12) victory.

Magdeburg's outstanding was Michael Damgaard with twelve goals, for Nantes Pedro Portela scored the most with five goals.
