At the end of last year, Per-Anders Israelsson declared that he was stepping down as club director of Skellefteå AIK after a long and faithful service.

25 years to be exact.

Now the hunt for his replacement is over.

Åsa Andersson, who most recently came from a CEO role in the business community in Skellefteå, will be new to the position starting this autumn.

Thus, Västerbotten is currently the only SHL club with a woman in a leading position within its organization.

- It is enormously inspiring.

In the discussions I had with the board, I feel that the association has a basic security when it comes to the way you work today, but that you also want more.

We need to maintain the absolute highest class in all areas to succeed.

We must stand for an unbeatable forward-looking ambition that permeates the entire area.

That is when we are at our best, says Åsa Andersson in a press release.
