Saturday's meeting with the Czech Republic you probably just want to forget.

Tre Kronor lost by a full 9-3 after spreading pucks to the right and left.

After the match, they talked through the effort and decided to do much better against Finland.

- We just tried to close the match and look ahead and make it much better and I think we bounced back well, says Frölunda's Elmer Söderblom who made his debut in Tre Kronor in the match against the Czech Republic.

It seems to have helped.

Against Finland, it was a completely new Tre Kronor we got to see.

The first period was basically flawless, Finland had great difficulty creating anything of value while Sweden spun freely in the Finnish zone.

- I think it was important for the group to really show that we can do better, it's damn good of us to go out and show it directly in the next match, says Söderblom who scored the important 1-0 goal.

And it was really nice.

First, Söderblom faked away three Finnish outfielders before he rounded goalkeeper Jussi Olkinuora and put the puck in goal.

- It was nice actually, it was fun, says the 20-year-old.

In the second period, Swedish dominance continued even though Finland played a bit.

But it was Tre Kronor who scored the only goal of the period after Filip Roos sent a supervisor towards goals that were guided in by a Finnish defender.

Marcus Högberg in the Swedish goal did not have much to do during the first 40 minutes but made some nice saves in the third period and kept, just like in the opening match against Austria, zero.

- He's really good.

He spreads a great calm in the team and makes a couple of important saves that are sick good, says Söderblom.

With the victory, Tre Kronor broke the Finnish national team's 15 match long winning streak.

The last time they lost was also against Sweden, then in the Karjala Cup in mid-November.
