According to Viaplay, they have finished but a solid reinforcement in Buffalo Sabers Rasmus Dahlin.

The defender, who became the first Swede in 29 years to go first in the NHL draft, is said to have agreed to play in the World Cup.

Clubmate Rasmus Asplund should also have said yes.

These would be the first two World Cup-ready NHL Swedes.

Buffalo missed the Stanley Cup playoffs, but 21-year-old Dahlin did his best season in the NHL, with 53 points (13 + 40).

Tre Kronor has its World Cup premiere against Austria on 14 May.
