  The women's doubles gold medal was won by Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan, who beat the Japanese duo Iwanaga Ling/Nanxi Takiya 2:0 (21:11, 21:15).

The latter beat former world No. 1 Yuki Fukushima/Saika Hirota in the semifinals, but they failed to upset the final.

  Since no Chinese players entered the men's singles and men's doubles finals, Guoyu ended with 3 gold medals.

At the same time, the Japanese team, which is the strong rival of the national feathers, ended the Asian Championships with zero gold.
