The All Japan Championship, which decides the best judo in Japan by weight indiscriminately, was held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, and 20-year-old Tatsuru Saito won the championship for the first time.


Saito's father is Hitoshi Saito, who won the gold medal at the two Olympic Games, and this is the first time that two generations of parents and children have won the All Japan Championship.
