A 16-year-old Kyrgyzstan player was suspended.. Know why

The International Tennis Integrity Agency on Friday imposed a sixteen-year ban, including six suspended, and a fine of 100,000 dollars (94,700 euros) on Kyrgyzstan Ksenia Balkina for match-fixing.

Balkena, who rose to 164 in the WTA rankings in April 2010, has been provisionally suspended since November 2019, so her return to action following the sanction will be in November 2029.

The agency said the 32-year-old admitted to match-fixing in 2018 and 2019.
