We were not treated to a crackling event when Tre Kronor started the Czech Hockey Games with a match against Austria on Thursday night.

- We do not immediately get the start we want but we grow into the match and "Högga" (Marcus Högberg) makes a good match back there, says Linus Karlsson who scored the match's only goal, 5.38 into the third period when he found it first cross with a real projectile.

- It was time, I have gotten a number of shots from that position lately without getting the puck in so it was extremely nice, says Karlsson.

Hoping for a World Cup place

Towards the end of the match, Austria created some really sharp equalizing chances but Högberg impressed in the Swedish goal.

- "Högga" makes some great saves, it may not be the most well-played match from our side, but three points is three points, says Karlsson who hopes for a World Cup place later this spring.

- It's just to continue to do the best you can, it's clear that it's the dream to play the World Cup, there's nothing to really complain about.

There are many good lyres in Sweden but I will definitely give it a try.
