Liverpool is entering a crucial stage of the season and is competing for the crown with a historic quartet, and the team relies on a group of stars, led by the Egyptian Mohamed Salah and the Senegalese Sadio Mane.

Salah scored 30 goals and gave 13 assists in 43 games in all competitions with Liverpool this season, while Mane scored 19 goals and granted 3 assists in 43 games.

The performance of the two players in the last period was not affected by the blessed month of Ramadan, and they did not appear to be affected by fasting in the last matches.

Mane talked about the secret behind this, and said in an interview with the "BN Sports" network that the club's management responded to a request made by the players in order to adapt the training program to help them during the fasting period.

The Senegalese star said, "Playing and training during Ramadan is not easy at all. Before Ramadan, we spoke with the captain and coach to see if we could change the training schedule to the morning session because that is better for us."

Sadio Mané reveals how Liverpool has changed the schedule of the Muslim players in the squad to work around fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

"If we train in the morning, we have more time to recover in the afternoon at home, but if we train around two or three in the evening, it will be complicated," he added.

Mane indicated that coach Jurgen Klopp was understanding and agreed to the request, and indicated that the German coach's position makes it easier for the players to give their best on the field.

In addition, Mane talked about the team's designation of a nutritionist in order to improve the performance of the two players and help them manage this sensitive period on a physical level.

"Liverpool is doing everything to make it easier for us; we are talking with a nutritionist, especially before matches, she does everything for us and makes sure that we can fast in Ramadan," he said.

Mane and his colleagues will be on a date today, Wednesday, to meet their guest, Villarreal, in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League.
