With the European Football Championship just a few months away, the injury will be inconvenient for the 24-year-old who is chasing a place in Peter Gerhardsson's squad.
It was in Friday's Champions League semi-final between Blomqvist's Wolfsburg and Barcelona that the accident occurred.
The striker started the match on the bench but was substituted in the 76th minute.
In overtime, she was then replaced again without it being clear what it was about.
Wolfsburg writes on its website that Blomqvist has now undergone an examination and that it has been established that she injured her left ankle.
"Blomqvist will be gone for several weeks", the club writes.
Barcelona won the home match with a crushing 5-1.
The return match will be played on April 30.
