The food, accommodation and transportation of these special athletes are all about the circle and wisdom.

In March, the breeze is warm.

With less than 140 days to go before the opening of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the equestrian center in Yaolin Town, Tonglu County is getting busy day by day.

There are more than 240 spacious and bright stables, a racing field covered with fiber sand, a cross-country track planted with soft grass, and a horse hospital that is about to be completed. Everything is being done for the more than 200 horses that will come here. Perfect preparation.

The 19th Asian Games will open in Hangzhou in September this year.

Among them, equestrian competition is the most special and complex event among all the Asian Games events, and it is also the only event in which humans and animals compete together.

I believe that people who have seen equestrian competitions or performances are all attracted by horses or their elegant or wild movements.

This sport, which embodies the harmonious coexistence of man and nature everywhere, is entering the public's field of vision and life because of the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.

With the arrival of the Hangzhou Asian Games, we look forward to seeing a visual feast on horseback at our doorstep.

The Hangzhou Asian Games equestrian competition venue is located in the forest plot of Yaolin Town, Tonglu County.

It is adjacent to the Fenshui River in the south, backed by the remnants of Tianmu Mountain, and has beautiful scenery. It is only 3 kilometers away from the Yaolin Wonderland, a 4A scenic spot in China.

It will undertake the three competitions of the Asian Games equestrian event "dressage, show jumping, and triathlon", and a total of 6 individual and team gold medals will be produced.

According to the current registration data, it is expected that there will be about 230 athletes and corresponding horses from 23 countries participating.

Looking down from the sky, the building shape of Tonglu Equestrian Center presents a big "horse". It has a main field of 12,000 square meters, an off-road track of nearly 4 kilometers, an indoor training field of 5,000 square meters and 3,104 spectator seats. There are also related functional areas such as horse boy dormitory, horse clinic, feed warehouse and shoe factory.

In order to prepare for the equestrian competition, Tonglu has started the construction of an "epidemic-free area" with a total area of about 1,300 square kilometers since July 2019. The division of "isolation area" and "prevention area" has long been established, and there are also "protected areas" around. ".

On March 30 this year, Tonglu County was approved by the World Organization for Animal Health as an equine animal disease-free area, which indicates that the effectiveness of animal disease prevention and control in Tonglu epidemic-free area has been recognized by the international community, and horses can rest assured.

Construction of an epidemic-free zone started three years ago

  Quarantine for 45 days

It is understood that the opening time of Tonglu Equestrian Center for overseas horses is September 2, so the reporter has not seen the scene of horse galloping training in the venue.

Although the horse has not yet entered the field, the Tonglu Equestrian Center has already made preparations, and this preparation started three years ago.

In July 2019, Tonglu officially launched the construction of an "epidemic-free zone". With the Fuchun River as the boundary, the administrative area north of the Fuchun River is designated as an epidemic-free zone, with a total area of about 1,300 square kilometers, accounting for 71% of the county's total area. The surrounding and neighboring counties and cities are "protected areas".

The full name of the epidemic-free area is the non-regulated equine animal disease area, which means that no regulated equine animal disease can occur in this area, and there are a total of 19 kinds of such diseases.

It is understood that at present, Tonglu has set up 4 animal health supervision and inspection stations on the provincial highways entering the epidemic-free area, which operate 24 hours a day, and conduct professional supervision and testing on imported or transiting equine animals, susceptible animals and their products.

At the same time, three animal isolation farms have been constructed for the isolation and quarantine of equine animals and susceptible animals.

In the past three years, no 19 specified diseases have been found in the Tonglu epidemic-free area. In March this year, the World Organization for Animal Health approved Tonglu County as an equine animal disease-free area.

This indicates that the effectiveness of animal disease prevention and control in the Tonglu epidemic-free area has been recognized by the international community.

The epidemic-free areas and venues are all ready, so how will the horses come in during the Hangzhou Asian Games?

Yu Lei explained that horses are not allowed to enter Hangzhou until they have undergone at least three months of health checks in the origin.

Not only that, during the Asian Games, horse races from all over the world who come to Hangzhou to participate in the Asian Games will not land their feet on the journey from Xiaoshan Airport to Tonglu's "epidemic-free area".

Entering the territory of Tonglu County, at almost every intersection of the provincial highway, you will see a special street sign that reads "Tonglu epidemic-free area, vehicles transporting pigs, cattle, sheep and horses and their products must go through designated passages".

This is not over yet. After the horse arrives in the Tonglu epidemic-free area, he has to go to the designated quarantine area for 45 days before finally entering the competition venue of the equestrian center.

According to the schedule, the first equestrian competition will be held on September 13, when everyone can see the horses galloping happily here.
