Accusations of Al-Ahly of Egypt of manipulating the African Champions League .. And the Sudanese Mars responds with a statement

A former member of the Sudanese club Al-Merreikh revealed that Al-Ahly had made a promise to the management of his club to help the team qualify for the round of 16 of the African Champions League.

Mohamed Sayed Ahmed said that Al-Marikh agreed to play its matches in the group stage in Cairo, after he obtained a promise from Al-Ahly that the latter would win over Al-Hilal of Sudan and Sun Downs in South Africa back and forth, provided that Al-Ahly lose one of its matches against Al-Marikh, indicating that this did not happen.

The board of directors of the Sudanese Al-Merreikh Club, headed by Adam Sudakal, issued a statement attacking the other board of directors of the club, headed by Hazem Mustafa, and the local football association, giving the latter a short period to implement the decision of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

This came against the background of a claim by a member of Hazem Mustafa's council, that the Egyptian Al-Ahly made an offer to Mars, which includes manipulating the outcome of one of the matches of the group stage of the current edition of the African Champions League.

The Sudakal Council is the legal board recognized by the International Court of Sports.

He added: “First of all, we assure the sports public opinion that the conversations that were circulated through Muhammad Sayed Ahmed Al-Jakoumi, one of the members of the illegal group, which was arrested by the CAS decision, does not represent Al-Marreikh Club from near or far, especially since this group does not have the right Representing the Mars Club legally, speaking in its name, or concluding any agreements on behalf of the Mars Club, and this is proven by law and is not open to controversy.”

He continued, "We point out that we hold the Sudanese Football Association responsible for all the damages that occurred to Al-Merreikh club, which resulted from its circumvention and failure to implement a court decision, especially as it continued to identify itself and deal with the illegal supplier group."

The Al-Marikh Board of Directors added: “We addressed Al-Ahly Club, represented by its president, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, explaining to him that this group is illegal and does not represent Al-Merreikh Club, and that any agreement with it or any dealings with it under the name Al-Mars Club is not legal, does not represent Al-Marikh Club, and does not represent us.” We are the legal Sudakal Council from far or near.”
