Max Verstappen took this year's second GP victory when he went home to Emilia-Romagna's Grand Prix.

The Dutchman made a steady effort and for Red Bull it was a full pot, when teammate Sergio Perez finished second - 17 seconds behind the winner.

Lando Norris, McLaren, finished third.

Otherwise, it was not the most easy-to-drive track, as the rain fell during the charge.

Something that Ferrari's Carlos Sainz got to experience when he went out already during the first lap.

Tough for Sainz, who had to break two races in a row.

Tough day for Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has had a tough start to this year's Formula 1 season.

On the Imola track in Italy, the Mercedes driver was forced to release the leader Max Verstappen, who rotated the 37-year-old.

The next competition is on May 8, when the F1 circus pulls across the Atlantic and more specifically Miami.
