Six scarce minutes had been played in the second period of the semi-final match between Färjestad and Rögle when the situation occurred.

Färjestad's forward Patrik Lundh went up to the blue line to then turn and tackle the opponent Linus Sjödin towards the head.

Lundh then received a match penalty.

The SHL now announces that the incident has been reported to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's disciplinary committee.

The case is processed during the day.

"Sjödin has no opportunity to protect himself," they write in SHL's situation room.

Yesterday's match was won by Färjestad 6-2.

The team also leads the semifinal series 3-1.
