During the World Cup in France 2019 and the Olympic tournament in Japan last summer, Sweden did not have a head referee.

It is still unclear when Tess Olofsson, who regularly judges in Sweden's highest series on the women's and men's side and internationally, will make her European Championship and championship debut.

The tournament begins with the opening match England-Austria at Old Trafford in Manchester on July 6.

Olofsson became historic in 2020 as the first female referee in one of Sweden's highest men's series.

She led the match Acropolis – AFC Eskilstuna in the Superettan.
