The Boeren had been waiting for ten years to lift this trophy again.

PSV Eindhoven beat Ajax Amsterdam 2-1 in the Dutch Cup final on Sunday, winning it for the tenth time.

The team, however, was very scared.

It was Ajax who opened the scoring through Ryan Gravenberch in the 23rd minute.

A second goal from Dusan Tadic was even disallowed just before halftime.

But, PSV then turned the situation around at the start of the second half by scoring two goals in the 48th by Erick Gutierrez and in the 50th by Cody Gakpo.

Another goal disallowed

Ajax then thought they could equalize in the 57th but a goal from Davy Klaasen was again canceled after video review.

The Amsterdam club then failed to achieve their domination (59% possession of the ball) and suffered from a lack of precision (2 shots on target against 5 at PSV).

Eindhoven has therefore entered its name on the Cup list for the tenth time after its last victory in 2012. Ajax, defending champions, have won 20 times and are currently ahead of PSV by 4 points in the championship.
