Piteå were undefeated when they came to Hammarby IP before the third round of the damallsvenskan on Easter day.

The home team, on the other hand, had lost both of their opening matches.

An even and somewhat cautious first half passed without any goals in the minutes - but in the second Piteå stepped out with new energy and a more offensive game.

However, Hammarby had the sharpest chance to take the lead with just over 20 minutes left, when the ball bounced in the post after a corner after hitting a Piteå player.

Emilia Larsson decided

The Hammarby players did their best to cut the return but the defense cleared away.

The home team increased the pressure and finally the dividend came.

Emilia Larsson succeeded after giving the ball from Matilda Vinberg to give Hammarby the lead in minute 77 to the cheers of the home fans.

Piteå chased the equalizer into the last minute of the match but Hammarby held off and took their first points of the season with the 1-0 victory.
