Huge disappointment for the Dutch Marianne Vos, who tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to forfeit the second edition of Paris-Roubaix Women on Saturday morning.

Three-time world champion, the Jumbo rider finished second in the first edition of the race last October.

In an interview she gave us recently, Vos evoked with fear and respect this legendary race that everyone dreads.

One can imagine the disappointment that must be his today.

"Riders and staff do a self-test every day, including this morning Marianne Vos's test came back positive," said the Dutch team, adding that a second test confirmed the first result.

“The disappointment is huge.

When I learned the result, my world collapsed,” commented the Dutchwoman (34), who skipped the Amstel Gold Race Ladies last Sunday to better prepare for Paris-Roubaix Women.
