What do winter sports enthusiasts actually do at Easter?

Take Felix Loch, Olympic luge champion.

Winter is far away.

The 32-year-old could rest on his laurels and go for a walk with his family in Schönau am Königssee when the weather is glorious.

Because recently, fans and the Olympic team in Beijing gave him a prize.

Just short of a medal, but the next moment a fiery supporter of his more successful team members.

The award touched him and encouraged him to stay the course.

The next winter is sure to come.

In his sport, medalists are formed from April onwards.

So basic training is on the agenda.

Unless something more important was on his mind.

Loch is involved in the association "Athletes for Ukraine".

He formed a convoy of 23 minibuses, loaded six tons of relief supplies in the back and had a good 1,000 kilometers to the Polish-Ukrainian border in mind.

Women and children will be seated there and taken to Traunstein first.

On Good Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. the entourage set off.

Driving a bus for the second time – Felix Loch.
