Al-Ahly calls on foreign referees to manage its matches in the Egyptian League

Al-Ahly, the competitor in the Egyptian Premier League, requested the use of foreign referees during its upcoming matches in the competition.

Al-Ahly occupies second place in the competition with 31 points from 12 matches, one point behind the leaders and defending champions Zamalek, who played 14 matches.

Al-Ahly said on its website that it sent a letter to the local federation of the game after repeating arbitration errors, "which waste the rights of clubs and affect the results of matches without taking any measures to at least reduce them."

Al-Ahly added, “In his speech, the club identified five demands, including announcing clear steps to develop the arbitration system on an integrated professional basis, and studying a proposal to bring in an arbitration expert in the International Football Association (FIFA) to give lectures and live with Egyptian referees for long periods to upgrade them and follow their performance according to a time plan.

»Preserving the prestige of the Egyptian rulers and giving them the appropriate financial compensation that suits them and motivates them to focus more on their work.

The club’s right to hear what is happening in the VAR room during arbitration cases that raise controversy.

"Assigning the team's matches to foreign referees who are known for their efficiency, and who are from the first category in the world."

Al-Ahly suffered its first defeat in the competition this season, 1-0, against its host Al-Masry Al-Port Said, last Saturday.
