Victory pass: "Can not rely on the gentlemen"

Thanks to a late equalizer by Kosovar Asllani at home against Ireland, 1-1, Sweden was ready for the World Cup in Australia / New Zealand 2023.

The Swedish national team manager Marika Domanski Lyfors tells Aftonbladet that she does not know exactly what sums it is about.

- With the signals that Fifa sent after the last championship, they have said that they will increase the sums considerably, so I expect it to be raised significantly, she says.

Caroline Seger, the Swedish team captain, took the opportunity to send a small pass to the men's national team afterwards.

- The question of money arises every time we go to a championship.

You can only hope that you take steps all the time and actually pump money into women's football, because I think we deserve that.

The association can not only rely on the men to advance to the championship.

I really hope that there will be a change, she says.
