Malkin suspended for four games for hitting an opponent with a stick in a game with Nashville

According to the NHL website, the 35-year-old striker received a four-game suspension following a hearing by the Player Safety Department.  

The Pittsburgh and Nashville meeting took place on April 11.

Immediately after the end of the second period, Malkin hit Borovetsky with a stick, first in the hands and then in the face.

As a result, the opponent had blood on his face and he could not continue the match.

Malkin received a four-minute penalty.

Earlier it was reported that Malkin set a record for the number of assists in the NHL among Russians.
