Al-Ahly Aleppo defeated Al-Wathba in the replay of the Syrian League

Al-Ahly Aleppo team (Al-Ittihad previously) defeated Al-Wathba with a score of three goals without a response, in their rematch for the nineteenth round of the Syrian Premier League, which brought them together today at Al-Hamdaniya Stadium in the city of Aleppo.

And the temporary committee of the Syrian Football Association announced yesterday, Monday, the replay of the Al-Wathba match and its host Al-Ahly Aleppo, which was held last Saturday, after the match stopped 20 minutes before the end of the original time, due to the two teams’ objection to not calculating a goal for each of them, starting with the referee’s cancellation of a goal for “Ahly Aleppo” for infiltration, followed by canceling the goal of the jump because the team players did not install the ball when executing the indirect free kick calculated as a result of the offside from which the goal of “Ahly Aleppo” came.

Al-Ahly of Aleppo succeeded in its replay, in opening the scoring early through its player Fawaz Bawadaqji in the 14th minute, before his colleague Zakaria Aziza added the second goal in the 41st minute, before stoppage time brought the third joy of the Halabi team, with Jamil Al-Abdullah scoring the third goal.

Al-Ahly Aleppo raised its score to 25 points, advancing to eighth place, while Al-Wathba's loss caused him to lose the lead in the general standings and fall to second place with 45 points, two points behind the leader Tishreen.
