Incredible and cruel outcome for Benoît Cosnefroy.

After an incredibly tight sprint this Sunday in the Amstel Gold Race against Michal Kwiatkowski, the Frenchman from AG2R-Citroën was first declared winner of the Dutch classic.

But after a thorough examination of the photo-finish, it was the Pole from Ineos Grenadiers who was crowned for the second time after 2015. Big favorite in the race in his country, Mathieu van der Poel finished fourth.
