Barcelona wins with a killer goal despite three penalty kicks

Barcelona striker Luc de Jong scored in stoppage time to give his side a thrilling 3-2 win over struggling Levante, despite being awarded three penalties in La Liga on Sunday.

Levante advanced with a deserved goal in the 52nd minute, through a penalty kick by captain Jose Luis Morales after a mistake by Dani Alves, and shortly afterwards another kick was awarded to the hosts after a handball from Eric Garcia.

But this time Roger Marti took the kick and it was saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Barcelona goalkeeper.

Levante quickly paid the price as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalized with a header after Ousmane Dembele's pass in the 59th minute.

Young Pedri gave Barcelona the lead in the 63rd minute with a direct shot after a pass from 17-year-old Gabi.

Levante got a third penalty after Dani Gomez was fouled by Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

Gonzalo Melero successfully executed the kick against Ter Stegen to equalize 2-2 in the 83rd minute.

But Barcelona managed to score again when Jordi Alba sent a cross from the left and De Jong headed it into the goal in the second minute of stoppage time, making the visiting team their seventh consecutive victory in the league.

Barcelona became second with 60 points from 30 games, 12 points behind leaders Real Madrid, who played 31 games after their 2-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday.

Levante comes 19th with 22 points.
