Ten years after the Olympic gold in London, where she won before Lisa Nordén after a now iconic goal photo, triathlete Nicola Spirig, 40, chooses to quit.
This season will be the last.

In addition to winning in London, she took silver at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro 2016 - in total she participated in five Olympic Games.
Debuted in Athens in 2004, and the last in Tokyo 2021 where she finished sixth.
She has also been European champion seven times.
- I look forward to spending more time with my family and getting involved in new exciting projects, she says.
