Klopp sympathizes with Mohamed Salah.. his circumstances are difficult

German coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is going through a difficult period at the present time, noting that the international player needs support in the current period.

The Liverpool coach said that Mohamed Salah is in a difficult period after Egypt failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, stressing that he will do everything he has to score goals.

Klopp spoke at a press conference after Liverpool beat Benfica by three goals to one in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, saying: "I did nothing different from what I usually do."

The match against Benfica saw Salah exit to be substituted in the 60th minute, and Klopp continued, "If the match has been decided, you can talk more with the players who have been substituted."

He added, "But if the match is still wide open, you only have to clap and talk later."

And about Salah wasting the opportunity to score a goal against Benfica, he said: "Every player in this situation wants to score, and it is clear that Salah himself wants to score, especially in light of everything that is said about him."

He continued, "But everything is fine. It is a difficult period, both Salah and Mane have returned from Africa. It is not really easy."

The German coach continued, "They had a lot of pressure on their shoulders and both of them had to win for their country and the coaches had a role in that, now he needs some time to settle down."

He concluded: "That's all. It was an important match for Salah and Mani against Benfica, one of them could score, and the other unfortunately did not work, but everything will be fine."

Salah did not provide his best levels after returning to Liverpool after the end of Egypt's campaign in the World Cup qualifiers and did not score any goal so far or assist, while Mane managed to score one of the three that Liverpool won against Benfica.
